HISTORY:
This 67-year-old male presents with prostate cancer on surveillance.
PRIMARY FINDING:
PI-RADS III.
FINDINGS:
The prostate measures 6cm in transverse dimension, 5cm in AP dimension and 7cm in craniocaudal dimension with calculated ellipsoid volume of 110mL.
Again seen ill defined area of mild hypointensity at apical right peripheral zone with no restricted diffusion. Small areas of mild-moderate hypointensity in the left peripheral zones with no areas of restricted diffusion. Multiple encapsulated glandular and stromal hyperplastic nodules in the transitional zones. A 1cm in diameter confluent hypointense area at anterior midline apical/mid transitional zone, more confluent than the prior study and with areas with ill defined margin. No restricted diffusion of the lesion. The capsule is intact. Neurovascular bundle intact. Seminal vesicles mildly atrophic.
No lymphadenopathy in the visualized pelvis. No focal suspicious osseous lesions.
CONCLUSION:
1. 1cm area of hypointensity with no complete encapsulation and more confluent than the prior study at anterior apical/mid transitional zone at midline. PI-RADS 3.
2. Stable ill defined hypointensity with no restricted diffusion at apical lateral right peripheral zone.
