29b - Answer: 59-year-old male presents with elevated PSA

HISTORY: 

This 59-year-old male presents with elevated PSA.

PRIMARY FINDING: 

PI-RADS 2.

FINDINGS:

The prostate measures 5.5cm in transverse dimension, 3.5cm in AP dimension and 4cm in craniocaudal dimension. Calculated bullet volume of 50mL. 

Mild small areas of hypointensity in the peripheral zones with no areas of restricted diffusion. 

Mild stromal and glandular hyperplasia in the transitional zones, no mass. Capsules intact. Neurovascular bundle intact. Seminal vesicles moderately atrophic. 

No lymphadenopathy in the pelvis. 

No focal suspicious osseous lesions. 

CONCLUSION

No MRI evidence of aggressive prostate carcinoma. Small areas of mild hypointensity in the peripheral zones with no restricted diffusion. PI-RADS 2.
