<div>HISTORY:&#160;This 69-year-old male presents with right knee pain and swelling after motor vehicle accident.(QUIZ ANSWER) PRIMARY FINDING:&#160;Morel-Lavallee lesion.Using the&#160;diagnostic web viewer, we have provided images that assist in telling our clinical story. Areas of significance are indicated below.FINDINGS:&#160;Ligaments: The medial collateral ligament and lateral ligaments are intact.&#160;Cruciates: The ACL and the PCL are intact.&#160;Extensor Mechanism: The quadriceps and patellar tendons are normal.&#160;Menisci: The medial and lateral menisci are intact.&#160;Bone Marrow: No AVN or fractures are identified.&#160;Cartilage: Mild grade 2 chondromalacia is noted in the weightbearing surface of the lateral femoral condyle and lateral tibial plateau. Mild grade 2 chondromalacia is noted at the medial tibial plateau and medial femoral condyle. Grade 2 to grade 3 chondromalacia is noted diffusely through the patella. The trochlear cartilage is intact.&#160;Soft Tissues: No joint effusion is noted. A soft tissue mass is identified anterolateral to the patella. The greatest transverse dimensions are approximately 6.5 x 2cm. The superior to inferior dimensions is approximately 5-6cm. It extends beyond the confines of the prepatellar bursa and is most consistent with Morel-Lavallee lesion.&#160;CONCLUSION:&#160;1. The dominant finding is a soft tissue mass in the subcutaneous tissues anterior to the knee joint most consistent with Morel-Lavallee lesion.&#160;2. No internal derangement is noted within the knee joint except for mild chondromalacia with grade 2-grade 3 chondromalacia of the patella.</div>
