Patient History
15-year-old male with left hip pain

Findings
SKELETAL: Defect in the lateral left femoral head is consistent with femoroplasty for impingement syndrome. Immediately anterior to the lesser tuberosity in the trochanteric/low neck region is a laminar horizontal area of sclerosis consistent with fatigue fracture surrounded by osteoedema. Periosteal swelling, elevation, and adjacent soft tissue edema medial to it.

PELVIS: Normal.

JOINTS: Trace to 1+ effusion.

ACETABULUM/LABRUM: Normal.

MUSCLES/TENDONS/LIGAMENTS: Normal.

OTHER/SOFT TISSUE: Soft tissue swelling and periosteal swelling.

Conclusion
Medial hip fatigue partial-depth fracture.
