Course Description

Join Dr. Mikhail Higgins (BU School of Medicine – Boston Medical Center) in this intro to image-guided bone biopsies, which includes a review of anatomic structures, selection of imaging modality (CT, Ultrasound, or Fluoroscopy), pearls/pitfalls of procedures, techniques, and complications in this setting. 

Learn the clinical radiologic workup & diagnostic imaging of lesions requiring osseous biopsies and gain an understanding of important procedural and periprocedural considerations in image-guided bone biopsies. Dr. Higgins also provides helpful breakdowns of differential diagnoses of conditions affecting biopsy sites, as well as diagnostic reasoning & potential complications to consider during these procedures.
