Course Description

Challenge yourself with Cardiac Abnormalities on Chest CT Cases from Dr. Brent Little!

Join Dr. Brent Little (Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School) as he reviews Chest CT cases with cardiac abnormalities that you are likely to encounter on a weekly or monthly basis. This course is a mix of standard non-gated chest CTs and advanced and interesting cases, with PET imaging as well, for those starting at a higher level.

Read alongside him as he provides essential interpretation pearls and pitfalls on these cases, which will help you gain confidence in making these decisions in your own practice.

Listen to his strategy for approaching non-gated CTs, including how best to examine the myocardium, pericardium, cavities, connections like atrial septal defect (ASD) / ventricular septal defects (VSD), and more!

Dr. Little also includes a breakdown of cardiac anatomy, how he narrows down a diagnosis by ruling out differentials, and diagnostic definitions.

Test yourself to determine:

  • The cause for a cancer patient’s abnormality in their heart?
  • Whether a patient’s chest pain is epipericardial fat necrosis (EFN), thymolipoma, or diaphragmatic hernia
  • Why a patient’s heart is rotated in a leftward direction?
  • The cause for a patient’s enlarged pulmonary arteries
  • Would you diagnose a patient with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, valvular aortic stenosis, or Danon disease?
  • …and more!
