PATIENT HISTORY: Indeterminate liver mass

MRI ABDOMEN W WO IV CONTRAST

INDICATION: liver mass in patient with steatosis.

COMPARISON: None

TECHNIQUE: MRI of the abdomen was performed with and without contrast.

FINDINGS:
Hepatobiliary system: There is a 3.2 x 4.5 x 3.7 cm T2 hyperintense lesion with gradual peripheral discontinuous enhancement demonstrating centripetal fill-in; this is compatible with a hepatic hemangioma. No additional liver lesion identified. No hepatic steatosis is seen. Gallbladder is underdistended. No biliary dilatation.

Hepatic vasculature: Patent.

Pancreas: Unremarkable.

Spleen: Unremarkable.

Adrenal glands: Unremarkable.

Kidneys: Unremarkable.

Bowel: Visualized bowel unremarkable.

Upper abdominal lymph nodes: No lymphadenopathy.

Peritoneum: No ascites.

IMPRESSION:
Hepatic hemangioma as described.
