Course Description

Challenge yourself with Uncommon GI/GU Disorders Cases from Dr. Mahan Mathur!

Join Dr. Mahan Mathur (Yale School of Medicine) as he reviews a series of uncommon GI/GU cases and the imaging features he looks for to make his diagnosis. Read alongside him as he provides essential interpretation pearls and pitfalls on these cases, which will help you gain confidence in making these decisions in your own practice.

Dr. Mathur also includes a helpful breakdown of each of the diagnoses and gives radiologists his perspective on how imaging can be used to help evaluate these entities.

Test yourself to determine:

  • Whether a 41 year old woman’s hypertension is due to vasospasm, fibromuscular dysplasia, or segmental arterial mediolysis?
  • Is a patient’s right upper quadrant pain due to a pancreatic cyst, fatty liver, or cystic fibrosis?
  • Is the cause for an indeterminate mass in a patient’s left upper quadrant a retroperitoneal bronchogenic cyst, neurenteric cyst, or lymphangioma?
  • Whether a patient’s pain in the right upper quadrant is due to renal medullary carcinoma, renal vein thrombosis, or an abscess?
  • …and more!
