HISTORY: 

This 89-year-old male presents with left jaw pain for four months, difficulty chewing.

Using the diagnostic web viewer, we have provided images that assist in telling our clinical story. Areas of significance are indicated below.

FINDINGS:

In regards to the left TMJ, degenerative signal associated with the articular disc. The articular disc is in a normal anatomic location with closed-mouth position and open-mouth position. Synovitis of the left TMJ. 

In regards to the right TMJ, degenerative signal associated with the articular disc. Normal location of the articular disc with closed-mouth position and open-mouth position. Slight limited range of motion. 

Subtle articular remodeling of each mandibular condyle. 

CONCLUSION: 

Synovitis of both TMJs with subtle articular remodeling representative of chondromalacia. Degenerative signal associated with each articular disc without dislocation of wither disc. Slightly limited range of motion right TMJ.
