<div>HISTORY:&#160;This 47-year-old female is being evaluated for right disc dislocation.(QUIZ ANSWER) NOT A FINDING IN THIS CASE:&#160;Right TMJ: In open-mouth position, there is capture of the articular disc.Using the&#160;diagnostic web viewer, we have provided images that assist in telling our clinical story. Areas of significance are indicated below.FINDINGS: In reference to the left TMJ with closed-mouth position, the articular disc is noted to be dislocated anteriorly. With open-mouth position, normal degree of range of motion and capture of the articular disc. With open-mouth position, would expect the articular disc to be slightly more posteriorly located.&#160;In reference to the right TMJ with closed-mouth position, the articular disc is dislocated anteriorly. With open-mouth position, absence of capture of the articular disc with slightly limited range of motion. Concern for a perforation at the junction of the posterior band or posterior zone of the articular disc.&#160;CONCLUSION:&#160;Dislocation of each articular disc with closed-mouth position. Capture of the articular disc with open-mouth position demonstrated on the left. Continued dislocation of the right articular disc with open-mouth position. Concern for a perforation or tear of the posterior zone or posterior band of the right articular disc.</div>
