Course Description

In this course, Dr. Tony Filly (Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula) will teach you why fetal heart evaluation is so important (and why we struggle with it), and his approach to imaging the fetal heart on ultrasound. Join Dr. Filly as he presents a simplified, step-wise, rapid way to evaluate these structures so that you’re able to recognize what normal looks like vs anomalous development.

This course will prepare you to confidently evaluate fetal heart anomalies on ultrasound through case reviews of diagnoses including:

  • Hypoplastic left heart syndrome
  • Heterotaxy syndrome (situs ambiguus)
  • Pulmonary artery atresia
  • Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF)
  • …and more!

Optimize your learning:

  • Test Yourself Before starting the video, launch the DICOM study and complete your independent review of the case in our diagnostic web viewer.
  • Review at your own pace – Reminder to utilize the video player features to speed up or slow down the video, pause or rewind to best fit your available time and learning needs.
  • Read alongside Dr. Filly Keep the DICOM study open while you watch Dr. Filly review the cases. We suggest popping the DICOM viewer open in a new window and viewing side by side with the video on your screen.

After you’re done, check out these additional Pediatric Imaging Mastery Courses for further in-depth case review:

Join Dr. Tony Filly as he discusses the Fetal Heart and Great Vessels, along with the features of these structures on ultrasound, imaging techniques, and case examples of cardiac anomalies.
