Principles of Cardiac CT

0:01

Hello, welcome to this talk on

0:04

the principles of cardiac CT.

0:07

My name is Saurabh Jha.

0:09

I'm a cardiovascular radiologist

0:11

at the University of Pennsylvania.

0:13

I have been doing coronary CTs for a very long

0:16

time, and I trained in cardiovascular imaging.

0:22

The talk is going to be a series of lectures,

0:27

which will focus mostly on the principles behind

0:32

the imaging, and to a lesser extent the pathology,

0:37

but the principles by that I mean how do we get

0:41

optimal vessel opacification, how do we get the

0:47

resolution that we are required to get for coronary

0:51

imaging, which is really at the frontiers of imaging.

0:55

So this is going to be a non-technical

0:59

series of lectures on physics.

1:02

I myself am no physicist, so I understand

1:05

physics at a very basic level, and that's

1:08

the level I want to convey it to you.

1:13

We're going to be talking about indications,

1:15

protocols, concepts such as pitch, and

1:20

I'll take you through the anatomy as well.

1:24

I hope you have an enjoyable educational experience.

1:27

Thank you.
