REPORT

HISTORY: Patient fell off bike this morning

FINDINGS: There is a lipohemarthrosis in the right knee. There is an incomplete lucency coursing through the anterior aspect of the right patella seen on the merchant view though this is not confirmed on the other views submitted and there is no appreciable prepatellar soft tissue swelling to suggest an acute fracture. Patellofemoral alignment is satisfactory. There is an apparent Segond fracture with cortical irregularity about the lateral cortex of the proximal right tibia.

IMPRESSION: Lipohemarthrosis with apparent Segond fracture which can be seen in the setting of ACL disruption.
