Differentiating masses in the sellar region is the first and most important step in a patient’s care. Pituitary tumors range from “leave it alone” lesions to emergent states. Mass appearances can be deceptive and their point of origin can be difficult to trace. Even more importantly, do you know what critical pieces of information the clinician needs to know?
