Report
EXAM: Skeletal Survey Radiograph Series (X-ray)
INDICATION: 2-month-old male with bruising
TECHNIQUE: Multiple radiographs of the axial and appendicular skeleton were obtained in frontal and lateral projections.
FINDINGS:
There are healing fractures at the 4th-6th left anterolateral ribs, and the right posterior 7th rib.
At the proximal right humeral metaphysis, there is a “bucket handle” metaphyseal injury. Also on the right, there is a minimally displaced fracture of the midshaft humerus.
The remainder of the bones of the axial and appendicular skeleton are intact.
IMPRESSIONS:
1. Healing fractures of multiple ribs.
2. Age-indeterminate classic metaphyseal lesion (CML) at the proximal right humerus.
3. Midshaft right humeral fracture.
