EXAM: Pelvis Radiographs (X-ray), 2 views
INDICATION: 13-year-old female with right hip pain following fall at soccer game
TECHNIQUE: AP pelvis and lateral right hip
FINDINGS:
There is no fracture or dislocation in the bones of the pelvis and right hip. There is an apophyseal avulsion injury of the lesser trochanter, at the site of insertion of the iliopsoas muscle. The hips joints appear normal and the soft tissues are unremarkable.
IMPRESSIONS:
Apophyseal avulsion fracture of the right lesser trochanter.
