Spastic torticollis dystonia.
TECHNICAL FACTORS
The examination was performed on a 1.5 Tesla superconducting magnet. Imaging of the temporomandibular joints was performed in both closed-mouth and open-mouth positioning.

CASE FINDINGS
On the right slight lateral subluxation of the temporomandibular joint meniscus is observed. There is however no evidence of anterior meniscal displacement. The meniscus appears diminished in size and abnormal in signal intensity compatible with degeneration. On the right the meniscus moves appropriately with mouth opening.
On the left lateral subluxation of the meniscus is identified. No anterior meniscal displacement is observed. Normal movement of the meniscus occurs during mouth opening. The meniscus appears diminished in size and abnormal in signal intensity compatible with meniscal degeneration.
CASE CONCLUSION
- Bilateral temporomandibular joint meniscal degeneration with slight lateral subluxation.
- No evidence of anterior meniscal displacement on either side.
- Incidentally mild dilatation of the ventricles and cortical sulci is observed compatible with mild diffuse atrophy.
