Bony scalloping associated with soft tissue lesion T2 hyperintense T1 signal nominally increased versus skeletal muscle. Lesion measures 4.7mm longitudinally 4.4mm in transverse diameter with a depth (thickness 2.6mm). Normal flexor and extensor tendons of the thumb. Collateral ligaments intact.

  • Glomus tumor (subungual location) ulnar margin at the mid distal phalanx of the thumb. Associated reactive bony scalloping. Size 5 X 3 mm on dorsoulnar portion of mid nailbed.
  • No fracture. No foreign body.
