TMJ pain tinnitus facial pain shoulder pain.

The examination was performed on a 1.5 Tesla superconducting magnet. Imaging of the temporomandibular joints was performed in closed mouth and open mouth positioning.

On the right in closed mouth positioning anterior displacement of the temporomandibular joint meniscus is observed. No recapture of the meniscus on the right occurs during mouth opening. 

On the left in closed mouth positioning anterior displacement of the left temporomandibular joint meniscus is observed. Recapture of the meniscus occurs during mouth opening. 

No periarticular cystic osseous reaction is observed. There is no evidence of osseous erosion.

  • On the right anterior displacement of the meniscus is observed in closed mouth positioning with no recapture during mouth opening. 
  • On the left anterior displacement of the temporomandibular joint meniscus is observed in closed mouth positioning with recapture during mouth opening.
