Dementia Imaging Case Review Introduction

0:00

So now let's take a look at how dementia imaging modalities play a

0:05

critical role in helping to establish an accurate diagnosis in patients

0:09

with suspected dementia. And to do that, I'd like to review some cases.

0:14

Just before we get into the cases, a few things. We're going to be

0:18

reviewing the cases on PACS, which you as an audience will see on

0:21

your Ambra. The PETs that we'll review will be on grayscale for you.

0:26

But I'm going to summarize every case back in the PowerPoint.

0:29

And with that, you'll see color coded overlay on the PETs because I

0:34

run all PETs through a MIM neuroanalysis software, which allows me to calculate

0:38

the statistical significance of any areas of, you know, hypometabolism or

0:43

hypermetabolism in the brain. So I'll show you those in the summary images.

0:48

When you're reviewing the PETs on the Ambra, you will need to invert

0:53

the color. To do that, you click on the palette in the toolbar,

0:57

and then there's a subcategory there, and just click Invert on the subcategory

1:00

under Palette. And then also you will have access to the quantitative volumetric

1:05

reports, both NeuroQuant and icobrain in PDF format loaded onto Ambra. But

1:11

I will review those actually on my summary slide. So just know I'm

1:15

not mentioning it as I go through the PACS, but we will get

1:18

to that when I go back on the summary slides, and we'll go

1:21

through each of those together.
