Course Description

While CT serves as a regular detection modality for hepatic lesions, MRI helps us to further delineate the appearances and characteristics of masses in the liver. Understanding the imaging features of hepatic lesions goes a long way toward determining a patient’s diagnosis.

In this course, Dr. Mahun Mathur (Yale School of Medicine) examines some of the most common benign lesions that occur in this region. Interpret alongside Dr. Mathur as he walks you through some of the most common diagnoses using annotations, case reviews, and helpful summaries.

Topics covered in this course:

  • Liver protocols (localized, T2 weighted image, T1 In-phase and out-of-phase, & T1 pre and post contrast)
  • Liver anatomy
  • Interpretation of MRI sequences and CT scans
  • Diagnoses like hepatic hemangioma, focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH), pyogenic abscess, von Meyenburg complex, and hepatic adenoma
  • Review of the most common benign liver lesions (cystic, hemangiomas, adenomas, and more)
  • …and more!

What your colleagues liked about this series:

  • “Great course. The annotations were amazing!”
  • “Fantastic course and presenter. Best course for benign liver lesions that I have seen so far.”
