Improper Glucagon Administration

HIDE
PrevNext

0:01

Okay, so this is what happens if you give your

0:03

glucagon before you do your cine imaging.

0:06

In contradistinction to that prior case I just showed,

0:09

what you'll see here is the bowel doesn't move at all.

0:12

And so getting your timing right if

0:14

you do cine imaging is super important.

0:16

And so as you can see here, as I scroll through

0:18

this slice, on the cine exam, everything's just

0:21

sitting still, and all you see is respiratory motion.

0:24

And that's because they gave glucagon

0:25

before they did the cine imaging, and it

0:28

totally defeats the purpose of the exam.

0:29

And so timing is key and building your

0:32

protocol the right way is going to be really

0:34

important for getting high-quality cine

0:37

imaging as well as the remainder of your exam.
