<div>HISTORY:&#160;This 55-year-old male presents with clinical strain at the hamstring muscle insertion.(QUIZ ANSWER) THERE IS A PARTIAL TEAR:&#160;True.Using the&#160;diagnostic web viewer, we have provided images that assist in telling our clinical story. Areas of significance are indicated below.FINDINGS: No acute fracture, stress fracture, or osseous contusion. Diffuse marrow pallor is seen in the region of the greater trochanter as well as of the distal femoral diametaphysis.&#160;Patent femoral vessels. No adenopathy in the right groin or upper thigh.&#160;Normal signal intensity of the sciatic and femoral nerve branches.High-grade insertional partial tear without frank full-thickness tear involves the origin fibers of the conjoined and biceps femoris muscle group at the ischial tuberosity origin. Hemorrhagic or fluid signal extends longitudinally for roughly 10mm with longitudinal high-grade partial tear and signal abnormality at the medial margin, continuing for 4.5cm.No evidence of associated neuropathy.Subcutis edema is seen lateral to the distal tensor fascia lata above the knee. Interfascicle edema extends into the posterior hamstring group above the knee for a length of greater than 10cm.&#160;CONCLUSION:&#160;1. High-grade near full-thickness 10x45mm partial tear involving the ischial origin of the hamstring tendons.&#160;2. Intertendon separation between the anterior semimembranosus origin and posterior conjoined&#160;long head biceps femoris and semitendinosus muscles measures 12mm.3. Perimuscular edema above the knee in the posterior compartment.</div>
