<div>HISTORY:&#160;This 57-year-old male presents with left thigh strain / muscle defect. A 3mm defect was seen in the anterior thigh after a fall two months prior.(QUIZ ANSWER) PRIMARY FINDING:&#160;Full-thickness rectus femoris myotendinous unit tear.Using the&#160;diagnostic web viewer, we have provided images that assist in telling our clinical story. Areas of significance are indicated below.FINDINGS: A myotendinous tear of the distal rectus femoris approximately 6.5cm from the patella measuring approximately 3cm in length x 1cm in width with fascial edema and intramuscular edema. The vastus medialis, sartorius, vastus lateralis and vastus intermedius muscles all have normal volumetric mass, no myoedema and no evidence of compression from hematoma. The underlying femur shows normal cortex, no osseous edema or evidence of fracture. Normal flow voids are seen in the vessels.&#160;CONCLUSION:&#160;1. 3cm length x 1cm wide full-thickness rectus femoris myotendinous unit tear which is approximately 6.5cm from the patellar insertion, no evidence of hematoma or adjacent muscular involvement.&#160;2. No osseous injury.</div>
