0:00

So our first case is a 26-year-old woman who is

0:03

currently 20 weeks pregnant with left breast pain.

0:07

So for this patient who's 26-years-old

0:11

and 20 weeks pregnant,

0:13

we're going to start with ultrasound

0:15

and then decide if we need anything else.

0:17

So where the patient is experiencing the pain.

0:20

She said it's very close to

0:21

her nipple on the left breast.

0:23

We see some little ducts here.

0:25

And then as we scan through the areas

0:28

where the patient reported pain,

0:30

which was kind of all over the left breast,

0:32

she has fairly fatty breast tissue.

0:35

Nothing suspicious in any area and just

0:38

the normal little ducts under the nipple.

0:40

So this is a normal exam.

0:43

No explanation found for the pain, but we

0:46

can refer the patient back to her provider.

0:48

I didn't really feel like there was a

0:50

need to do a mammogram for this patient.

0:53

So we're considering this to be negative

0:55

by BI-RADS 1, and our recommendation is

0:58

to have her follow up with her doctor.
