Our next patient is a 40-year-old woman who was

0:03

recalled from her baseline screening mammogram

0:06

for evaluation of a 12-millimeter mass in

0:09

the right breast at the six o'clock position.

0:12

So, here's our um, screening mammogram

0:15

for this patient, and the area of interest

0:17

that was recalled was this mass here and

0:21

here, and because of its size, we could

0:26

go right to ultrasound to evaluate it.

0:31

And just to show you what this looked like

0:33

on tomosynthesis, it was this area here.

0:39

And this is what we saw on the ultrasound at

0:41

6 o'clock, position 8 centimeters from the nipple.

0:44

There was this.

0:45

It's sort of oval hypoechoic mass measuring

0:49

about a centimeter with some internal blood flow.

0:56

And some of the edges were a

0:58

little bit microlobulated.

1:00

I think there was some concern about it.

1:02

And this was recommended for biopsy.

1:06

So this was given a BI-RADS 4 category and

1:12

ultrasound-guided biopsy was recommended,

1:13

which was subsequently performed.

1:15

And this was a fibroadenoma.
