EXAM: Chest XR
CLINICAL INDICATION: Chest pain.
FINDINGS:
Support Devices: None
Lungs/Pleura: No pneumothorax. Lungs are clear. No pleural effusion.
Heart/Mediastinum: Severe enlargement of the cardiac silhouette which is significantly increased when compared to prior. Calcified mediastinal lymph nodes in the right paratracheal region and right hilum, similar to prior and most consistent with sequela of prior granulomatous disease.
Bones/Soft tissues: No acute osseous abnormality.
IMPRESSION:
Severe enlargement of cardiac silhouette which is increased when compared to prior in 2018 and concerning for large pericardial effusion. Echocardiogram or CT would provide further evaluation. No definite acute airspace disease.
