EXAM: XR Chest
CLINICAL INDICATION: Pleural effusion
COMPARISON: December 2, 2014
FINDINGS: No change in position of chest tubes bilaterally. Interval
repositioning of left PICC, which now has tip at the confluence of the
innominate veins. Advancement by approximately 4 cm may place the tip at the
SVC/right atrial junction. Right hydropneumothorax with air-fluid level, likely
moderate in size.
IMPRESSION:
Interval repositioning of left PICC, with tip now at the junction of the
innominate veins, consider advancement x 4 cm for placement of tip at the right
atrial SVC junction.
Right moderate hydropneumothorax, with right chest tube in place.
