Case 14 - 47-year-old female presents with mild pain in right hand

<div>HISTORY:&#160;This 47-year-old female presents with mild pain in right hand for more than 30 years, numbness and swelling in the area.LEAST LIKELY DIAGNOSIS:&#160;Plexiform neurofibroma.Using the&#160;diagnostic web viewer, we have provided images that assist in telling our clinical story. Areas of significance are indicated below.FINDINGS: A 2.5 x 0.7 x 0.7cm plexiform lesion with isointensity on T1 sequence and hyperintensity on T2 sequence between the 2nd and 3rd flexor tendons distal to the carpal tunnel. There is avid enhancement of the lesion.&#160;The muscles are normal in signal intensity. Tendons intact&#160;No acute ligamentous sprain.&#160;IMPRESSION: Right Hand: Strongly favor cavernous type hemangioma or venocavernoma between flexors 2 and 3 based on enhancement pattern. Far less likely would be other differential diagnoses including unusual isolated plexiform neurofibroma, plexiform schwannoma if patient has no history of neurofibromatosis type 1.</div>
